Peeled wood productivity and diameters of the timbers. Preliminary studies on Poplar ‘I-214’ and ‘Neva’ During the last two decades an experimentation on polycyclic plantations has been carried on: Poplar is cultivated concurrently with shrub-like and woody species that have production cycles of different length. Looking at the first results of this test, there seems to be possibility of produce, at the same time, less Poplar trees but with a bigger dimension. Therefore it was considered worthwhile to examine how this greater size influences the volume of the peeled wood obtained by these timbers. The article reports about a test that involved plants of growing diametric classes.
